WORD OF WELCOME

Welcome to the First Iberian Meeting on Extracellular Vesicles.

We are delighted to welcome you to the First Iberian Meeting on Extracellular Vesicles.
This is a joint meeting of Portuguese and Spanish researchers interested in the study of extracellular vesicles.
Our meeting will bring together scientists of different backgrounds to discuss what is becoming an exciting and stimulating area of research.
Three scientific sessions will take place on the following themes: Infection and Immunology, Cancer, and a session devoted to the role of extracellular vesicles in other Contexts.
The program includes lectures delivered by invited scientists, oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts and poster sessions. Poster sessions will take place during coffee and lunch breaks and the best poster will be awarded with a prize at the end of the meeting.
We hope this meeting sets the ground for a new and stronger Iberian community devoted to the study of extracellular vesicles.
