Welcome to the XXXVIII Portuguese Genetics Conference to be held in Porto from the 4th to the 5th of June 2013. This meeting is an excellent opportunity to get to know who is doing what and to discuss your research results with your colleagues (from your research field and from other research fields). What unites all participants is the love for Genetics. Researchers, Phd and Master students, as well as University students are welcome.

AWARDS

The prize Prof. Doutor Amândio Sampaio Tavares, that is worth 300 euros, is attributed to the best oral presentation. Professor Amândio Tavares was the first president of the SPG in the years 1974-1977. He made important contributes to the field of clinical genetics. Prof. Amândio Tavares will deliver this important prize at the end of the conference.

The prize Prof. Doutor Luís Archer, that is worth 150 euros, is attributed to the best poster presentation. Professor Luís Archer was president of the SPG in the years 1978-1981. He made important contributes to the field of genetics and ethics. The vice-president of the SPG will deliver this important prize at the end of the conference.
