Final Discussion:

A new form to talk about science

The borders between art and science are being re-conquered and there are quite a few successful examples of these penetrations in Europe. It was in this perspective that IBMC and Ectopia organised this symposium, as a means to reflect on possible partnerships in this cross-culture.

This symposium tried to address the common benefits for Art and Science in terms of communication. Questions were raised about art and science exhibitions and projects and their position towards science communication.
Luís Graça, a scientist from Institute of Molecular Medicine in Lisbon, chaired this session and the participants were Marta de Menezes, founder of the Ectopia project and Ana Noronha from Ciência Viva, the Portuguese national foundation for the promotion of the scientific knowledge.
