BioArt Iniciative

The BioArt Initiative is a collaborative project between Rensselaer’s Arts Department and the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS) that aims to be the premiere institution for the synthesis of emerging biotechnological research and media art practice.

The BioArt Initiative has a giant potential to create a mutually supportive and critically engaged culture between art, engineering and science because it joins this two institutions, the cutting-edge biotechnology resources from CBIS and a world-class electronic arts community from Rensselaer’s Arts Department.
