Objetivo / Purpose otf the acquisition:

O objectivo com a aquisição deste equipamento é explorar a patologia de AVC, usando para isso o modelo de AVC em ratinhos, sobretudo o papel da transtirretina como possível molécula neuroprotetora em AVC, num projecto que está a ser desenvolvido no IBMC.                                                                                                                              The goal with the acquisition of this equipment is to explore the stroke pathology, using a mice stroke model, particularly the role of transthyretin in stroke as a possible neuroprotective molecule, under a project that is being developed at the IBMC.
