Anti-parasitic drug discovery: from in vitro screening to animal validation
15 SEPTEMBER 2014 | IBMC - Porto – Portugal
The possibility to perform live imaging, from cells to animals, has greatly contributed to the advance of several fields of research including drug-discovery. Understanding how high- throughput high-content screening microscopes and small animal live imaging can be used to discover and validate new anti-parasitic drugs is the goal of this workshop.
The High-Throughput High-Content screening microscope allows analysis of multiplexed quantitative data based on automated cell imaging. Whole animal live imaging systems to detect fluorescence or bioluminescence can be used to evaluate and monitor drugs efficiency and kinetics.
This workshop provides an opened half day with specialized people. Limited places are available for a half day laboratory training on throughput high content screening and whole animal live imaging.
