XIV Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Neurosciences

The XIV Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Neurosciences is in the hands of IBMC.INEB researchers since this year's organising committee includes Ana Paula Pêgo, Carla Silva Lopes, Fani Neto, Isabel Cardoso, Isaura Tavares, João Relvas, Márcia Almeida Liz, Meriem Lamghari, Mónica Sousa, Pedro Brites, Teresa Summavielle and Vasco Galhardo.

The XIV Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Neurosciences will take place in Póvoa de Varzim and held at the Axis Vermar Conference & Beach Hotel, from 4-5 June 2015.

In line with previous events, the 2015 meeting will bring together the Portuguese neuroscience community for the purpose of reviewing and discussing the most recent data, exchanging information and new ideas, and also get together, meet friends and have a good time.

This year's meeting focus in four main topics: Cognition and neural systems; Neurodegeneration; Neurodevelopment/Regeneration; Glial Cell Biology. Four international speakers, one for each main topic, will share their work with the Portuguese neuroscience community: Rafael Maldonado from University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain; José Naranjo from the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología - CSIC, Madrid, Spain; Federico Calegari from CRTD, Dresden, Germany; and Antonio Cuadrado from Univ. Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.
