IBMC is the host to 33 research groups, which are organized into three research units: Infection and Immunity, coordinated by Pedro Rodrigues; Molecular and Cellular Biology, under the coordination of Sandra Macedo-Ribeiro; and Neuroscience, with João Relvas as coordinator. Besides these research units, IBMC also has five associated groups. Overall, 38 research groups focus their study on fundamental, applied and translational science.
