CGPP: accredited for genetic testing of neurological diseases

The expertise of IBMC- CGPP in laboratory tests and DNA extraction has been officially recognized through Accreditation by IPAC, according to the NP EN ISSO 15189 normative.
This is the first Portuguese laboratory to be accredited by this normative for neurological diseases.

Among the accredited tests are familial amyloid polyneuropathy (PAF TTR), Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, Huntington disease, Machado-Joseph disease and other spinocerebellar ataxias (SCA1, SCA2, SCA6 e SCA7), in addition to hemochromatosis, as well as blood sampling and DNA extraction.
