Course in Laboratory Animal Science - Category C

The 2012 edition of the Course in Laboratory Animal Science to be held at the IBMC – Instituto de Biologia Molecular and Celular May 14-25 is now open for registration.

This 2-week course is intended for researchers, research technicians and research students. The course follows the recommendations for Category C (Persons responsible for directing animal experiments) and is accredited by FELASA.

The registration fee of 400 euros for internal participants (I3S) includes course material (excluding the textbook) as well as coffee breaks. Internal students can buy the textbook at cost price and should inform the organization at registration if wishing to do so.

Internal students should register before April 20. If we receive more registrations than we can accept, participants will be selected according to the following criteria (see Acta CAB 8 April 2010):
1. Researchers from teams with funded projects in which presently no member is licensed to work with animals (1 participant/ team)
2. PIs with funded projects and presently not licensed to work with animals
3. In selecting the remaining participants, research group representation will be considered, and each group leader may be asked to select candidates from their group.
