GRANTS

10 meeting grants offered by the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) are available.

Grant application deadline: March 31^st, 2015.

 

ELIGIBILITY RULES

To be eligible as a FEMS Young Scientists Meeting Grantee you must be:
• Student;
• Less than 36 years old at the closing date of the meeting;
• Member of a FEMS Member Society, confirmed by any officer of her/his society
• An active microbiologist;
• A presenting author of an abstract (Abstract deadline for grant applicants is March 31st, 2015);

Applications will be evaluated and selected by the Organizing Committee;
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection process via email.

Your FEMS meeting grant application should include the following documents:
- The completed and signed FEMS application form;
- A copy of your student card;
- A document confirming that you are a member of FEMS Member Society issued by the respective society;
- Your Curriculum Vitae, clearly stating your personal details (including date of birth and nationality), an overview of your educational and professional career and a list of publications.

2) Please register* for the conference and submit the required documents to the congress.
3) Submit your abstract.

*Payment should be made after the disclosure of the grants results.

VISA APPLICATION

Citizens of the European Union, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Romania and Switzerland need only an identity card to enter Portugal.

For visits of less than 90 days, a passport valid for at least three months after the end of their stay is necessary for visitors from Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Guatemala, Holy See, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Saint Kitts and Nevis, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela, Special Administrative Regions of the People’s Republic of China in Hong Kong and Macao and Taiwan territorial Authority.

Citizens from countries not mentioned above need a visa to enter Portugal, which may be requested at the Portuguese Embassy or Consulate of their country for stays of up to 90 days.

- invitation letters for Visa purposes do not involve any commitments by the Congress Organizers to cover the registration fee, travel expenses or other costs related with the participation in ETOX 17;
