Advanced Light Microscopy - Overview

The Advanced Light Microscopy (ALM) is a scientific research facility of IBMC dedicated to provide state-of the-art optical microscopy applications for biosciences.

The applications available include multidimensional (6D) imaging of cells and tissues, high speed live cell microscopy, molecular analysis techniques, in vivo microscopy and high-content / high-throughput analysis.

The ALM provides access to advanced light microscopy systems such as fluorescence widefield and laser scanning confocal microscopes, training in equipment use, scientific advisement in experiment planning, consulting and collaboration in research projects, and outreach activities.

The research facility has an open-access policy and the resources are available to all scientific community and industry.

Please contact the ALM team for more informations about ALM and access to available resources

ALM is a node of the PPBI-Portuguese Platform of BioImaging, a infrastructure of National Roadmap of Research Infrastructures of Strategic Relevance.
