Objetivo / Purpose otf the acquisition:

A escolha do procedimento acima indicado fundamenta-se no facto de os bens, objeto do contrato, se destinarem a que a licença do programa "3D Huygens Professional Deconvolution & Analysis Software", já existente no IBMC, adquira a capacidade de processamento de imagens de microscopia STED. Deste modo, com a presente aquisição, visa-se uma ampliação e incremento das potencialidades e performance do software Huygens Profissional, adquirido à entidade a convidar, a SVI – Scientific Volume Imaging B.V. Tratando-se de um upgrade do software supramencionado, a mudança de fornecedor do objeto contratual, obrigaria o IBMC a adquirir bens com características técnicas diferentes. Tal facto, originaria, inevitavelmente, incompatibilidades. A entidade a convidar, facultou a declaração que atesta a exclusividade do desenvolvimento, distribuição e prestação dos serviços de atualização/manutenção do software Huygens, que se anexa à presente decisão.//The choice of the above procedure is based on the fact that the goods, object of the contract, are intended to enable the license of the "3D Huygens Professional Deconvolution & Analysis Software" program, already existing in IBMC, to acquire the image processing capacity of STED microscopy. Thus, with the present acquisition, it is aimed at an expansion and increase of the potentialities and performance of the software Huygens Profissional, acquired from the company to be invited, SVI - Scientific Volume Imaging B.V. Being an upgrade of the aforementioned software, changing the supplier of the contractual object, would obligate IBMC to purchase goods with different technical characteristics. This would inevitably lead to incompatibilities. The company to be invited, has provided a statement attesting to the exclusivity of the development, distribution and servicing of the Huygens software, which is attached to the present decision.
